By accessing and using DailyBible.ca (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DailyBible.ca provides free access to public domain Bible translations and related services, including:

  • Online Bible reading interface with visual galleries
  • RESTful JSON API for Bible verses and chapters
  • Search functionality across Bible translations
  • Optional user accounts for reading progress tracking

3. Use of Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the API in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage
  • Reproduce, modify, or distribute the Service's content for commercial purposes without permission

4. User Accounts

To access certain features such as reading progress tracking, you may create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

The Bible translations provided through this Service are in the public domain. However, the Service's design, code, and original content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

The API is freely available for personal and commercial use, but please use it responsibly and considerately.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall DailyBible.ca or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
